Kaizen is more than just a workplace methodology. It is a way of thinking. It changes the way you look at what you do every day, it challenges you to ask why, constantly. Once you start thinking in this way it changes your perception of everyday occurances and drives you to understand the situation around you with complete clarity. At this stage, there is no doubt in your mind as to how to proceed.

People who are driven by kaizen shisaku (continuous improvement thinking) percieve life in a different way to those who are not. I am not so bold as to say kaizen shisaku makes a better person, not at all, but certainly a person who thinks about things in a different light to many others. In the workplace, this can be a huge advantage because every company needs people who think differently.
